Oil cleansing has been very popular for a while now. Most
of the people thought oil cleansing is a mad adoption that makes skin even oily
and worse, but with usage and results it won hearts.
Main concept of oil cleansing
Oil cleansing is to use good oils and remove bad oil
present on our skin. The bad oils which
leave us unhealthy, acne filled, dry skin is the main concern here.
So getting rid of it and make your work easy. Along with removing the bad oils present
underneath your skin, the oil cleansing technique flushes out the dirt present
on your skin from roots.
It provides deep cleansing to your skin. Massage bit with those natural oils, wash it
off. After the cleansing process
impurities present on the skin are removed completely.
Most of the skin problems which are caused due to lack of
hydration to the skin can be easily cleared with this oil cleansing
technique. As you use oil for cleansing
for your skin, it will leave your skin hydrated, dry-free and acne-free.
Oil-free Oil cleansers
There are numerous oil-free cleansers in the market, but
none works for the betterment of your skin.
As they are oil-free they take out all the natural oils that are present
in your skin and leave it hydrated.
Few oil-free cleansers leave our skin dehydrated while
few other oil cleansers allow your skin to produce more oil. Dehydrated skin makes your skin look dry,
dull, and aged. While excess oil production makes your skin look oily, as if
fingers will slip on the face.
Oil cleansers contain antioxidants and anti-aging
ingredients that will help you deal with your skin issues like dryness,
dullness, acne, anti-aging, dehydrated skin etc.
Oils used for oil cleansing
If you are new to oil cleansing then here are the oil
types and methods of oil cleansing for you.
All you need is some natural oils which I am going to mention below and
a fresh towel.
Mostly for oil cleansing castor oil and olive oil are
suggested. If you don’t have them available you can go with any natural oil
like coconut oil. Castrol oil is
considered because it is astringent in nature, which helps to pull off all the
impurities present underneath the skin.
As castor oil is too sticky it is advised to mix and
blend it by adding some other natural oil.
You can also use olive, sunflower, or coconut oil in place.
Method for Oil cleansing
For oil cleansing instead of using single oil it is
advised to use a combination of oils so that both the oils will simultaneously
work on your skin to make it healthy and appealing.
Depending on your skin type listed below
For oily skin:
Take 1/3 castor oil with a combination of 2/3 olive,
sunflower, or coconut oil.
For dry skin:
Oils like olive, coconut, castor oils in equal quantities
go well.
For combination skin:
Take ¼ castor oil with a combination of ¾ of olive,
sunflower, or coconut oil.
Procedure
Well, if this is the first time you are using this oil
cleansing method, just wait and see for the results and do make adjustments in
the quantity if needed. If you are ready
with the oil then you are ready to start the oil cleansing process.
1. Take oil into
your hands and gentle massage on your skin in such a way that it penetrates
deeply into your skin. Continue
massaging for 2 to 3 minutes evenly and leave the oil on your skin for a while,
at least 10 minutes.
2. Once you are
done take a fresh towel and dip it in hot water. You are going to steam your skin now using
this hot towel. Squeeze out extra water
from the towel and place that towel on your face covering all the corners of
your face.
This helps as a face spa, helps in removing the
impurities from the skin. Let the cloth
stay on your face for a while and then remove it. If you want to give it a try one more time
you can go for it.
3. Try not to
apply any sort of moisturizer onto your skin.
If you feel dry even then apply a little to your skin.
So make certain to give this natural oil cleansing
technique a try. You will for sure be
amazed by the results after cleansing your skin with natural oils. Let’s see
