Babies don't come out of pills or heaven:


This is one funny misconception that gets fixed during teenage. Most teens would keep on digging their parents for truth. Thanks to grade education, modern day syllabus will give the answer for their unending doubt. Still, they may not be fully convinced or shocked to know how humans reproduce.

Females bleed- what the hell? This would the most probable reaction from an early teen upon knowing that their fellow counterpart bleeds the blood of purity. Well, this doesn’t seem too much controversial for a parent - child talk, so better give them an outline.

Don’t do it, it will make you go blind.



Well, it is a myth that masturbation make you go blind. Teenage marks the commencement of self-sexual stimulation, which is a trademark of the phase. Parents shall anticipate this because all comes out of the same shell. Give them a counselling or take them to one, not to make them holy virgins but to educate them what it is, how controlled it shall be done and not mess it with daily life.

Say no unprotected sex.

This would spark a debate in some, but believe it or not 40% of school students commit sex even before turning 18. In the current day culture it would be very difficult to stop them from doing so, but shall be educated about sexual care and contraceptions for a safe sex.

Homosexuality isn’t a choice!

There are various theories to support this fact. Homosexuality happens naturally by birth, in some it is genetics but in some, it is due to birth condition either way, it is not a choice or a decision that makes one homosexual.

No STD’s for homosexuals:



Another myth that homo sex won’t spread any STD, but the fact is that any unprotected sex might serve a chance to spread sexually transmitted diseases.  So better be properly protected while engaging in sex with multiple partners. There are no restraints for STD, it can happen to any age group engaging in unprotected sex with an affected partner.

Pills and drugs for sexual enhancement:

Up to the day, there no safe to consume medications for sexual enhancement other than moderately safe one’s like Viagra, Levitra etc. But none of the chemical drugs shall be taken during teenage, which might affect the brain growth and several metabolic functions. 

Every teen must learn the socially accepted sex etiquettes, which are a set of what, how, when, with whom etc. norms that are followed since the earl;y days. This helps them forge a better sexual orientation, which won’t clash with society’s mindset to isolate them.

Flushing water nor in water sex won’t prevent pregnancy:

It is a misconception that douching some water on vagina would save her from conceiving. But the fact is that fertilization takes place much deeper on the uterus, so only medical intervention would help at this stage. Another trend seems like having water sex would prevent pregnancy, in fact, normal and water sex hold the same potency to cause pregnancy.

Having sex during periods is safe:



Not always, especially if the male sperm is an in-born warrior! Sperm could wait in the female organ for 3-6 days, which is likely to cause pregnancy sometimes, but not common, though.
