Home Remedies to Remove Tan From Hands

Tanning is mainly caused when the skin is overexposed to sun.  As we cover few parts of our body with our attire, the remaining part is obviously exposed to the sun.  Therefore, the part that is exposed to the sun becomes tanned and the remaining part remains normal which results in uneven skin tone. 

Tanning can happen at any place on our body.  But, we only give attention to tanning on face and neglect the other parts of the body because of which our hands and legs are losing their beauty. 

One has to know that weather it is face or hands or legs all are parts of the same body and all of them have equal importance beauty wise.  It is unfortunate that few people tend to tan faster than others.  Sometimes, uneven tone makes us embarrassed among others.  But don’t you worry.  

We are here with some tips that will let you roam in the tan free world for free.  So, in order to keep the entire body even toned and tan free we are going to suggest you some simple home remedies.

1. Yogurt and Turmeric

Take some yogurt in a bowl and add some turmeric to it.  Mix it well and apply this solution on your face, neck, and hands before bathing.  Let it sit on your body for 20 minutes before washing. 

Now, wash it off slowly by adding little amounts of water and by rubbing it gently.  Repeat the same process daily.  It will help you to get rid of tan quickly.

2. Cucumber

Take half a cucumber and cut it into small pieces and take them into a bow.  Add 2 tbsp of milk or milk powder and few drops of lemon juice to the solution. 

Mix it well.  Apply this solution on tanned areas and let it sit until it dries.  Wash it off with normal water by gentle rubbing it.  Repeat this once a week to see the difference.

3. Tomato

Red cheeks tomato works wonder in removing tan.  Take a tomato and cut it into two halves.  Take one piece of tomato and gently rub it on tanned area.  Let that tomato juice penetrate into the body and let it dry.  Do it without removing the seeds in tomato.  This will help you remove excess of tan from your body.

4. Almonds

Almonds are one of the best ingredients that work well in removing tan.  Take 5 to 10 fresh almonds which are green and blend them in a blender.  Make it a paste by adding 5 drops of sandalwood oil. 

Apply this paste on the tanned areas.  If fresh almonds are not handy, then buy almonds and soak them overnight.  Next day morning blend them in a blender and add 5 drops of sandalwood oil to it and apply it on the tanned area.  This would yield excellent results.

5. Papaya

It is a known fact that papaya is a beauty fruit.  Papaya has many benefits and most of which are beauty related. 

Take papaya and take out the pulp present in it.  Rub the pulp on the tanned area.  Papaya will not only help in removing the tan present on the body, but also helps in curing the tanned skin.

6. Turmeric

Turmeric is a product which is used from ages by our ancestors in treating many skin and health problems.  It is best known for its healing properties.  It acts as anti-biotic in curing wounds and healing the scars. 

Take some turmeric and add few drops of lemon juice to it.  Mix it well and now add 1 tbsp of raw milk to it.  Again mix it well.  Now, apply this solution in the areas where the body is tanned.  Let it stay on your body until it dries.  Once it gets dried, wash it off with cold water and see the results with your own eyes.

7. Potato

Many people love to eat potato.  Now it is showering its love in return with its anti-tanning properties.  Yes, you heard it right.  Potato is one such great home remedy that helps in removing tan on the body. 

Take a potato and cut it into two halves.  Take a piece of potato and rub it gently on the tanned areas.  Let it stay on your body until it dries and wash it off.  Repeat it daily to see best results.

8. Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is another healer just like turmeric.  Aloe Vera is also used in many medicinal products for curing diseases related to skin.  Now, let us make use of it in treating our tanned skin.  Aloe Vera can be used to reduce sunburns which are mainly caused due to over exposure to sun.  It helps in fading out the tan from the body. 

Cut a piece of Aloe Vera from the Aloe Vera plant and rub it directly on your tanned skin.  It works very well in treating tanned skin.

Now-a-days, manufacturers are releasing products which are pure Aloe Vera based.  They are preparing Aloe Vera gels which are coming in packed form.  If you are a busy person, then these types of products goes well with you.  You can just mix this gel with some rose water and apply it on the affected area.

9. Lemon

Lemon is very handy and very much available fruit at homes.  Take a lemon and squeeze the juice out of it.  Apply the juice directly on the affected area.  Let it sit for about 15 minutes and now rinse it off with cold water.  As lemon juice contains citric acid, it helps in lightening the skin shade and also in reducing the level of tanning.  But, people with sensitive and dry skin should not try this remedy frequently as it dries the skin a bit.

 

Removing tan is as important as preventing it from coming.  As there is a saying “Prevention is better than cure”, let us all walk in the roads of that saying.  Go through the below tips to prevent yourself from going through tanning treatment.

Make sure you cover yourself in warm clothes before running into sun.  It will help you and your body from getting into direct contact with sun, thereby the harmful rays won’t directly fall on your skin.

If you are planning to go out then make sure you apply sunscreen on the exposed areas.  Apply it half-an-hour before you are going out.  Choose sunscreen with at least SPF 30.  If you are too sweaty, then go for non-comedogenic type of sunscreens.

Water is a life savior.  Don’t you agree?  Drinking lots of water helps keep us hydrated throughout the day.  It keeps us away from dry skin.  It helps in regenerating new skin.

Never miss applying moisturizer to hands.  Moisturizer helps in hydrating hands.  Application of moisturizer helps in removing tan from the skin.

Exfoliation helps in removing tan that has occurred naturally.  So, make sure to exfoliate your skin at least once in a week.
